If someone had told me years ago I would be digging through garbage just to make sure that the recycling went in the right place – well – I would have told them they were crazy. And the only reason I do this now is because I can’t stand good recyclables going into the garbage! I was never big on recycling until I realized HOW MUCH of my garbage actually qualified as “recyclable”. I have found that I now have 75% LESS garbage in my bin now that I actually sort out the good and the bad from the “truly ugly” (and even most of the ugly can be composted too)
